What does it mean to participate in GLIMPS?

If you have had an FDG PET scan, and your neurologist participates in the GLIMPS project, then we would like to ask you to contribute to the GLIMPS project. We ask your consent to store your FDG PET scan and medical data anonymously in our GLIMPS database. The data will be used for scientific research. But in addition, the analysis that we perform on your data may help to reach an early and accurate diagnosis.

Privacy

Your medical data is confidential. When you give consent, we will store your data anonymously in the database. This means that your name, address and other personal data is not available to others. Only your treating physician can access your data. The results of our research projects will be published in scientific journals. And your personal data can not be mentioned in these publications.

 Giving consent

You decide whether or not you give consent for the addition of your data to the database. If you have given consent, but you change your mind, you have the right to revoke the consent at any time. We will then remove the data from the database. If you decide not to consent, this will not influence your medical treatment in any way.

How does it work

Your physician will ask your consent for the GLIMPS project. He or she will provide you with an information brochure and with the necessary form.

If you have any doubts about participating, or if you have any additional questions, please to do not hesitate to contact us.
